Shamsa Hasan Al Blooshi is a visual artist from the United Arab Emirates. English language and literature were the focus of her studies. She lives with a family that is passionate about art, literature and poetry, which created her artistic sense since childhood, as she combines the study of the word with the brush to create paintings coloured by words.
She leans to abstract art, because deviating from reality and the familiar is her approach to reveal new horizons for her emotions and reason. The paint brush taught her that feelings are not rational, and that the letters of the Qur’an are a miracle that takes you to the world of light.
Shamsa has recently joined Arab 22 for fine arts & Sky Art 195.
